Located on the eastside of Wellington, north of Main Street, Coddington is an older established, moderately priced central location in Wellington. Construction in Coddington started in the late eighteen hundreds and continued into the late nineties. Homes in Coddington are in the 900 to 2100 livable square foot range without an HOA and have mature trees and landscaping. Shopping in Wellington is limited with Bella's Market being the main grocery store. Other shopping is in north Fort Collins at the Willox and Highway 287 (College Avenue) with a King Sooper as well as Downtown Fort Collins. A short drive down interstate 25 to the Harmony Road interchange is the new Costco and Walmart and, two minutes west on Harmony, the new Front Range Village shopping complex with an array of shopping and dining establishments. Further to the south of the Harmony Road - interstate 25 interchange at the interstate 25 and Highway 34 interchange (Loveland exit) is the new Promenade at Centerra shopping complex, the Market Place at Centerra Mall and the new Medical Center of the Rockies. Recreational opportunities close to Wellington is the Soapstone Prairie Natural Area and Red Mountain Open Space to the north with the Poudre Canyon to the West. Schools are Eyestone Elementary, Wellington Middle School and Poudre High School.
